Poha Chaat Ingredients:
- Poha – 2 cups
- Onion – 1 medium size finely chopped
- Potato – 1 medium size finely grated
- Green chilies – 2
- Peanuts – 2 tablespoons
- Oil – 2 tablespoons
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
- Asafoetida – a pinch
- Curry leaves 10-12
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Sugar – a pinch
- Fresh coriander leaves- chopped
- Sev – 1 cup
- Puri – 6 pc
- Lemon – 1 tablespoons
How to make Poha Chaat Recipe step by step
1)Wash pressed rice (Poha) under running water, drain excess water keep aside for 5 minutes.
2)Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add peanut and deep fry and keep aside.
3)add mustard seeds and once they splutter, add cumin seeds and saute for half a minute.
4)Add asafoetida, green chilies, curry leaves, onion, and grated potato and saute till the onion is golden brown.
5)Add pressed rice, turmeric powder, deep fry peanuts, salt and sugar, coriander leaves, drizzle some lemon juice and toss well.
6)Cover and cook for another five minutes.
7)Stuff the poha in the pooris.
8)Garnish with coriander leaves & sev from top.
9) Your Poha Chhat Recipe is ready.
